SCS - School of Dental Medicine

The SCS is committed to providing statistical support to UConn's School of Dental Medicine, with all consulting meetings held remotely via WebEx. If you encounter any issues, or have any questions, please reach out to timothy.e.moore@uconn.edu.

In addition to our other consulting services, SDM faculty, post-doctoral fellows, research fellows, graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to take advantage of our free online service. Consultants can provide immediate, round-the-clock statistical support for quick questions about grant applications, journal articles, Ph.D. Dissertations, M.S. Theses, and undergraduate research projects.

We have expertise in statistical software, study design, statistical methodology, data analysis and visualization, and reporting of results. Undergraduate students please note that we will not be able to aid with homework or class projects.

Question Submission

Use the online consulting form below to ask a question and upload any supporting documents. Questions are typically addressed within 24 hours. In specialized cases, it may take up to 3 business days if an area expert is needed. Larger questions and projects that are deemed too big for a walk-in consultation may be referred for more comprehensive, ongoing consulting available at: statsconsulting.uconn.edu/project-engagement-sdm.

Submitting data

Although our consultants can help with formatting data for analyses, we highly recommend that clients attempt to have their data appropriately formatted prior to submission to our service. More information about formatting data and using OpenRefine to clean up data. Examples of wide and long data formats (we recommend one of these be used for submission).

Online questions are suspended until July 16th, 2024
